Endangered Plant Species Recovery - Abstract
Plants are essential for all life on earth, the uptake of carbon dioxide, one of
the principle greenhouse gases, during photosynthesis is the major pathway by which
carbon is removed from the atmosphere and made available to humans and animals
for growth and development. Plant diversity provide the basic life-support systems
on which all life depends and wild plants are also vitally important in supporting
livelihoods for millions of people around the world.
