Poisoning with Juniperus oxycedrus (Cade Oil): About a Case at the A4 Intensive Care Unit of the HASSAN II University Hospital in Fez - Abstract
Cade oil is a product extracted from the branches and wood of Juniperus oxycedrus. It contains etheric oils, triterpene and phenols. Used widely in
traditional Moroccan medicine with a high frequency of serious poisoning, especially in young children.
We report here the case of an elderly subject victim of ingestion of cade oil, admitted in a state of neurological, renal and hepatic instability, successfully
placed under resuscitation measures.
