In this research project, we would like to extract valuable resources aluminum nitride from the scrap aluminum foil containers, the aluminum foil is first obtained from scrap aluminum foil containers, and then the foil is nitrified to obtain aluminum nitride. The container is first sliced, cleaned, and placed in heated xylene solvent to dissolve PE film and separate the paper from aluminum foil. Aluminum nitride powder is obtained by nitrifying the aluminum film at 12700C for 4 hours, then crushed and ground. The resultant powders were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), a computer-interface X-ray powder diffractometer (XRD) was used to identify the crystalline phase. The results show that aluminum nitride powder is uniformly in the range of 100nm.
