This paper dealt with the prevention of “spontaneous” preterm labor. In the early 1990’s several forces had merged which led to my clinical practice seeing a very large volume of obstetric patients. These numbers became a de facto cohort and with the increased availability of computers and improve software the collection of clinical data was becoming easier and more precise.
