Corrections policy

Corrections may generally arise only when there is a printing or formatting error because the manuscript will be thoroughly vetted for grammatical and conceptual errors before it gets published as an article. The writer or any reader may write to the editor about typographical errors, in the published article.

Any individual or agency may express any opinion for or against any topic published in the journal and may seek clarification.

  • The publisher applies COPE guidelines for the corrections, retractions, withdrawals, and expression of concerns.
  • The editor may issue an addendum in the case of any typographical errors in the text, image, tables, legend, or any other part of the article, declaring a corrigendum or erratum along with the original article citation, which will be published in the next issue.
  • The editor, in consultation with the author, provides clarification in case of any objections, conflicts, and allegations of misrepresentation or derogatory representation of facts.
  • If the editor considers any objection or complaint reliable and feels that it should not have been there in the article, the editor has the authority to remove such remarks or the entire article.
  • On all these occasions, the editor communicates with the author and tries to find solutions if there is any chaos.
  • The corrections will be published within 3 working days.
  • Editor’s decision remains final in all such cases.

Article Retraction

The publisher, in consultation with the editor, may retract an article/s from the current or previous issues for the following reasons:

  • Major technical errors
  • Factual errors
  • Procedural errors
  • Data fabrication
  • Duplication and overlapping data or text
  • Manipulation of data & research outcome
  • Violation of ethical practices in conducting clinical research
  • Undermining, misrepresentation, and derogatory representations.
  • The editor-in-chief evaluates all the above-mentioned issues carefully while retracting an article in the current or previous publications /issues.
  • Retraction decisions will be posted online in the next issue.
  • Retraction charges are applicable in such cases.
  • Editor’s decision remains final in all such eliminations.
  • The corresponding author can withdraw the article prior to its acceptance for publication.
  • No article can be withdrawn once the peer-review process is completed.
