JSM Nutritional Disorders is a multidisciplinary, open access journal that encourages the best quality research on nutritional disorders resulting from either excessive or inadequate intake of food and poor nutrient values leading to various diseases including obesity, eating disorders, malnutrition, developmental abnormalities that could be prevented by diet, hereditary metabolic disorders that retort to dietary treatment, food allergies and intolerances, and potential hazards in the food supply. It also focuses on the chronic diseases incurred due to improper nutrition such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, cancer, and diabetes mellitus.
Nutritional disorders generally arise due to low food intake or malnutrition due to various socio-economic, cultural reasons. Most of the nutritional disorders are under-recognized and lead to several metabolic, cardiac and ophthalmic abnormalities and disorders, which can be addressed by regular nutritious food intake. If not addressed, nutritional disorders result in delayed recovery, increased morbidity and mortality.
JSM scholarly research journal on nutritional disorders encourages original research on emerging approaches on the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of conditions due to food deficiency. The journal welcomes research articles, review articles, case reports, and short communications, as well as short technical reports.
