Probabilistic Study of Fluid / Solid Interaction in Arteries - Abstract
This paper deals with the probabilistic study and analysis of stresses produced due to
the blood flow in a stenosed and a non stenosed artery using FEM. The probabilistic analysis
was done using the random variables and their mean values (varying +/- 10%) to compute
the sensitivity factors. Normal distribution was assumed for all the random variables. Similar
procedure was employed for the stenosed artery and the solutions are produced in the form of
easily understandable graphs and diagrams which can be used for diagnostic purposes.
