A Case of Oropharyngeal Chordoma - Abstract
Chordomas are rare malignant neoplasms derived from incomplete regression of
notochordal tissue along the cranio-coccygeal axis.
We report a case of retropharyngeal chordoma presenting with dysphagia and operated
on by trans oral approach associated a post-operative radiotherapy. Chordomas must to
be evocated in retrophayngeal tumors required a good checking (imaging, cytology) and
conformed by immunohistological exam. The prognosis is poor.
