Schwannomas are benign tumors originating from Schwann cells of peripheral nerves. While common in adults, they are rare in children and even more so when involving cranial nerves. Among these, hypoglossal nerve schwannomas are extremely uncommon, typically presenting as slow-growing, painless masses.
