    Dr. Thomas Brueck received his Ph.D from the Greenwich University in London. He then worked at the Florida Atlantic University, and, further served as Portfolio-Manager Technologies and Patents in Süd-Chemie AG and currently he is W2 Professor for Industrial Biocatalysis at the Technische Universität München (TUM). Dr. Brueck has contributed greatly to the understanding of Isolation and characterisation of novel (enzyme and whole cell) biocatalytic systems for biomass conversion to industrially relevant target molecules. His research focused the process relevant optimization of biocatalytic systems combining novel genetic engineering and high through screening technologies.
