Family Medicine as a field of medical practice is a 20th century phenomenon where a family doctor caters to the medical needs of the entire family, consisting of people of all ages. With the modernization, with changing demographics and medical super specializations, family medicine attained the name of General Medical Practitioner.

The journal thus caters to gender specific, age based health care communication that is applicable to all in the family, community and society.

The scholarly journal encourages original submissions on Prevention, awareness building, health education, prolonging life and promoting health through the organized efforts like public and private, organizations, targeting individuals and society on health care practices. The focus of the family, community medicine journal is to improve the health and quality of life through the prevention and treatment of disease and other physical and mental health conditions, through supervision of cases and health marker, and through the promotion of healthy behaviors.
