INTRODUCTION
Prof. Mitsuhiko Asakawa DVM, MSc Wild Animal Health (UK), Ph.D., Dipl. JCZWM, is working at the Division of Pathobiology, School of Veterinary Medicine, Rakuno Gakuen University, Hokkaido, Japan (Figure 1), and his research background is based on helminthology, especially, morphology, taxonomy, ecology and zoogeography, and helminthiasis including zoonotic ones of diagnosis, epidemical survey and countermeasures among human-livestock and variable animals including wildlife, exotic pets, zoo and aquarium animals etc derived from the anywhere on the Planet (Figure 2-5).
Adding to the academic background of him mentioned above, the university is located in the Noppro National Forest (Figure 6), and it could pursue an educational activity for wildlife medicine, although it is adjacent to the most congested area, the capital city of Hokkaido. So, based on the Wild Animal Medical Center (Figure 7-9) belonging to the Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine of the university, Prof. Asakawa has made such educational opportunities, not only for his students, but also overseas ones including USA (Figure 10,11) since 2004.
