DESCRIPTION
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy was performed in a morbidly obese patient (BMI 44.35) who presented with recurrent attacks of biliary colic. A very large solitary Gall Stone (4CM) and elongated Gall Bladder (15CM when measured on post-operative specimen) was removed via laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Size of gall bladder in situ was 20CM as reported on pre-operative ultrasound (Figure 1,2).

LEARNING POINT
Recurrent biliary colic due to outflow obstruction by large gall stone can expand the gall bladder to more than double its usual size.
