Letter
The Enzymology and Protein Science aims to publish special issues that focus on enzymes and related research topics of common interest on a regular basis.
In most cases (The today), interfering with these mechanisms can be achieved by using biomolecules as active agents, most commonly hormones, proteins or nucleic acids, whose use has become economically advantageous after the advent of the recombinant DNA technology. Low molecular weight molecules, such as peptides and hormones, can be more easily formulated and controlled.
Progress in the field of biotechnology is helping to make proteins more affordable. On the other hand, proteins require more attention in their manipulation, because the complexity of their structure, which is at the basis of their biological activity, can be easily altered leading, for example, to an inactive product.
All proteins produced by living creatures are, by their very nature, biologically active to some extent in their homologous species.
This Inaugural Issue communicates current knowledge for our understanding of the biological active proteins and new potential field for the life and also argues how cells molecular machine? The main function of biological molecules should be noted that the viability of proteins.
I hope that the research presented here will be both informative and stimulating for the scientific community in general and for the interested audience of the journal Enzymology and Protein Science.
Yours Sincerely,
Hüseyin Kahraman
